Castle Crashers with Ninjas

Since it is so similar to Castle Crashesrs and not as good it might be hard for me to review it fairly, but it's a pretty good game, good graphics and gameplay and everything, it just seems lame that so many of the mechanics are ripped directly from another game.
My only real complaints are: the last boss is ridiculously hard, too much health. The swift kill move is very overpowered. There are some clipping issues at parts, like in level 1 I believe you can walk over the middle of a tree instead of behind it.

This is a tribute to Castle Crashers. I've stated this in the author comments. I made it like CC on purpose! That's why it is so similar. To me that just means I accomplished my mission. Also, Castle Crashers was made by a whole team of people over a period of a few YEARS and you have to pay to play. This game was made by one person (me) over a period of 4 months! And it's FREE!

Sometimes objects that are in front of you do not fully "realise" it because there's so much happening on stage, then it seems like you walk on top of them. It's a technical thing and it happens on rare occasions... sorry about that.

The last boss IS hard yes, and he should be :)
Glad you kinda liked my game, thanks for the review!

New perspective, old gameplay

Considering it is a defense game it is pretty good. Silhouettes are usually lazy art but it works with this game. Gets boring kind of quickly considering it is easy and the very few powerups and the long time between being able to use them. Also, the voice acting is AWFUL, but considering how cliche the writing was you'd have to be a master voice acting for it not to sound awful.

It's a cool new perspective for a D-Day game, but nothing new for a defense game

It's fun

For what is basically a puzzle game, it has a lot of annoying pixel perfect jumps, but I played through it and got all the medals so I guess that means I either liked it or love torturing myself.

RJGames responds:

All the medals!

Impressive, congratulations! I thought the last one was almost impossible, at least in such a short period of time.

Nothing new, good effort

There are a million games like this, and this one is just bare bones.

Jedimace1 responds:

I made a game like this because I like games like this, and I don't want to abandon it. But could you link me to a game like this, I'd llike to see it. I can't think of any similar games with the same gameplay.

Don't flatter yourself

Basically an Atari game with 3D graphics. A recommendation: give a bonus for going through the small gaps in the walls. Often times there will be an obstacle coming at you with a small opening you can fly through, but at the same time there is a larger opening around the edges and it would give the player an incentive to take the harder, more dangerous route if you got bonus points.

Also, I don't know why you called it "an emotional flight" in the description. Don't flatter yourself pretending this is high art

Nothing new

Not terrible, not new, I've played this game a thousand times before clicking play

Pretty good for what it is

If I liked Madden-type games maybe I'd like this more, but for me it is just boring and doing the same thing over and over.

One of the funniest animations on this website

Simple but great

the way we swing

Cool art, not spectacular gameplay but its fun, whatever, you did a good job.

Getting ridiculous

Not only are the puzzles too complicated (not neccessarily hard, just a lot of switching around between people), but the fact that in a PUZZLE GAME each section is timed is insane and makes the whole thing constantly stressful. If you're going to make another Shift game, go bak to your roots, maaan.
